Growing a garden organically is not easy. It takes years to learn how to grow a good garden. It also takes years to build good soil.

I suggest getting some books on organic gardening http://www.back40books.com has one of the best selections of such books and the book sellers are long time organic farmers and homesteaders so know what they are talking about.

I would also suggest looking at some organic gardening on-line forums. These are gold mines for knowledge and support

It's true. Commercial fruit juices are full of sugar and usually 10% or less fruit juice. My advice is to read the label. High Fructose Corn Syrup is basically concentrated super sweet sugar. It's hard for your body to process and I beleive it makes people gain weight. Organic juices should not have this and should be 100% juice. Much healthier! My motto is if I can't pronounce it in the ingredient list--I don't eat or drink it.

Hey Novice,

There use to be a book called "Grow More Vegetables", that had a french bio intensive combination of Raised beds and composting. The concepts are fairly easy. What ever you do, be sure to till the soil deep enough that the roots can move freely (not compacted). Add organic matter.

I like raised beds too. 4 feet wide by how ever long you need them. Turn them over with lots of organic matter included. Do not walk on the beds, work on them from the edge, that way you do not squish the roots.

Tomatoes, radishes, carrots, beets, squash (summer, Zuchinni, herbs, cabbage, strawberries, lots to choose from. Go to the Home Depot and look at their Vegetable seed rack, or their seedlings - pick what you like, and have fun.

Be sure to start a compost pile! Your second year will be way better than your first if you do. Each subsequent year will get even better.

Muhahaha... Well you know the right plant food for your "not weed" lol. So Peters is just a brand get that through your young mind; obvious your between the age of 14-17. Walk into Home Depot Garden center and look at those little numbers; find 20-20-20! even 20-18-20 is good for you "not weed" but 20-20-20 is the way to get that thick full root for a healthy stalk on you "not weed" plant. *SECOND* No matter what you have in mind for your "not weed" yeild on a young experimenters mind; A mini Hydro sytem like an "AeroGrow" *did I guess right* will absolutly NOT grow your "NOT WEED" it only would work to start "not weed" clones which then would be transplanted to soil. Hydro is not the way to go my friend "other than tomatoes or oranges" Soil makes FAR better "not weed" yeild and potency. Third; well you live in North Carolina and it's going to be hard to find healthy seeds so your gonna have some crapy crops; but you'll learn where to get those when you grow older *HINT* (ABSOLUTLY DO NOT BUY ONLINE) You will either be ripped off or thrown in Jail. Go to a Head Shop "smoke shop" they all have your "not weed" seeds there they get from good organic supplies. Remember they all have them but they won't sell them to just any shmuch to walk in the door. Get an older person 23-35 dressed "neatly" ask inquire professionally. P.S. You gave yourself away at 20-20-20 :) I was looking for a 20/20 link and sall this question lol. I had to create a yahoo account litteraly to answer this question.

Your watermelon question is not as offensive to me as is your blatant attempt to get attention and stir up trouble.

Are you too young to see how pathetic and immature that is?
